FashionDiscoveryBot

What it does

FashionDiscoveryBot reads the public product catalog of a brand's own Shopify storefront, through the storefront's JSON endpoints, for a personal fashion-discovery app. It collects product names, prices, colors, sizes, and image addresses. It never downloads images, and it never places orders or touches carts or accounts.

How it behaves

• One request at a time per site, and at most one request every 2 seconds per site.
• It reads robots.txt first and honors it, including any group written for FashionDiscoveryBot.
• It stops crawling a site as soon as the site answers 403.
• It backs off on 429, 430, and 503 responses and honors Retry-After.
• It never downloads images.
• Every request is signed with Web Bot Auth (HTTP Message Signatures, Ed25519). The public keys are published in the key directory (https://bot.jackcutrara.com/.well-known/http-message-signatures-directory).
